A Trattoria bringing gourmet pizza and Italian fare at casual pricing to Coconut Grove
Upon entering from Mayfair’s lobby, guests are immediately enticed with the tantalizing aromas emerging from the stone-faced wood-burning Ambrogi oven. The Ambrogi oven, imported directly from Milan, infuses the perfect flavor and texture in to Spartico’s pizzas and creates the ideal crust from a unique blend of flours and dough that is processed by seasonally-harvested wheat. Deeper into Spartico’s intimate dining room, guests will enjoy the warm and cozy ambiance created by dim lighting and cavernous spaces made up of rich wood and elegant stonework.
Spartico’s menu truly embodies what one would think of when they imagine rustic Italian cuisine. The wide variety of stone-fired Roman pizzas range from traditional recipes like the Capri topped with san marzano tomato sauce,‘crudo,’ local fresh mozzarella, artichoke, kalamata olives, mushrooms, prosciutto and speck, to intriguing new combinations such as the Bianca with layers of local ricotta, mozzarella, goat and fontina cheeses, organic baby arugula, local organic thyme and unfiltered Sicilian olive oil. The trattoria’s menu ranges from salads and homemade pastas to pan seared, fresh fish such as Branzino. Patrons are invited to create their own Calzones stuffed with olives, roasted vegetables, pecorino, sardo and sausage.
Every Thursday, Spartico will serve the eatery’s specialty pastas for only $10.99 at the Amarcord Supper Club. Guests are invited to pair their creative pasta dishes with $9 Americano and Bellinis or purchase a bottle of wine and receive the second for half price. Local musicians fill the trattoria with soulful Frank Sinatra-style serenades, setting the scene for a perfect date night or dinner with friends.
